15 things I learned from Improv

  1. trust that you’ll know what to say when it’s time

  2. being in the moment takes the pressure off and allows you to have more fun

  3. trust your creative impulses, they’re usually right on and if their not, that’s when it gets interesting

  4. go with the creative flow by saying Yes, AND

  5. funny is a result of being in the moment not 10 steps ahead

  6. nothing is up to you alone, it’s a team effort

  7. it’s okay to make mistakes - you’ll still be accepted, included and probably more adored

  8. celebrating failure helps the lessons come quicker

  9. when you work together, everyone looks brilliant

  10. listening is like an art; it takes time, patience and practice

  11. you become a better listener and make friends more easily

  12. you’ll drop insecurities like fear of being rejected, abandoned and looking foolish

  13. resilience: if it didn’t work the first time, you’ll try again

  14. you are loved despite your foolishness and because of it

  15. sucking at something doesn’t mean you suck. it means there is room to learn which makes you awesome.
